Durban Bikes CEO Takes Riding to Heart with 100-Mile Ride on Folding Bike
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) September 07, 2016 -- Today, Durban Bikes, maker of stylish, technically innovative folding bikes at an affordable price point, announced that CEO Dave White will ride a Durban folding bike 100 miles in the Best Buddies Challenge Sept. 10 to benefit programs that promote inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Best Buddies Challenge is an annual fundraising event where bikers can choose to ride up to 100 miles or walk a 5K. The 100-mile bike route begins in Carmel and ends at Hearst Castle in San Simeon, where the night will be capped off with a concert by The Beach Boys. “At Durban, we say, ‘Let life unfold’ – that isn’t just a tag line to sell bikes. It’s a belief that we need to empower ourselves to live life to the fullest,” said Dave White, CEO of Durban Bikes USA. “We want people to know that riding folding bikes can be an excellent way to spend time together, see the world and stay active - no matter who we are or what challenges we face.”
“Another reason I’m taking this ride is to show what a premium riding experience a Durban bike provides,” White continued. “Durban bikes are sturdy, comfortable and a great choice for any ride, short or long—and for this 100-mile ride, when I could ride any bike, I’m choosing to ride a Durban folding bike.”
Durban makes a full line of folding bikes and accessories, designed to provide a no-nonsense transportation option than can easily be taken on public transit, stored under your desk or tucked away in the limited space of a dorm room or small urban apartment.
