Eurasia Group is proud to welcome the Honorable Radosław (Radek) Sikorski, former foreign minister and minister of defense of Poland, as a senior advisor to the firm. An expert on European affairs, Sikorski will partner with Eurasia Group to offer strategic insights on the geopolitics of the region.

“Radek Sikorski’s tenure as a European Union foreign minister has given him a deep understanding of the challenges facing the continent,” said Ian Bremmer, Eurasia Group’s president. “His expertise will be a valuable addition for clients looking to seize opportunities across the region.”

As minister of foreign affairs, Sikorski negotiated and signed the Poland-Russia regional visa-free regime, the Poland-US missile defense agreement and, along with Carl Bildt, he launched the EU’s Eastern Partnership, forging cooperation between the EU and its eastern neighbors.

“As recent events have shown, Europe’s crises will continue to have economic effects that ricochet around the world,” said Sikorski. “I’m thrilled to join Eurasia Group, the leader in political risk analysis, to help its clients anticipate and respond to these challenging dynamics.”

In addition to his work with Eurasia Group, Sikorski is Senior Fellow at the Center for European Studies, Harvard University. Foreign Policy magazine included Sikorski in their list of 100 global thinkers for 'speaking the truth even when it's undiplomatic.’ (Full bio)
