During this session, Duke will share 6 top reasons for delayed corrective action responses and 8 effective ways to respond to a delay. With each response, he will explain the reasoning behind the “why”, and the precautions that should be taken.

The purpose of a Corrective Action Request (CAR) is to investigate a problem that already happened and requires root cause analysis and resolution to prevent recurrence. Although the acronym stands for corrective action request, companies often use it to denote their entire corrective action life cycle rather than just the request portion. Many quality managers and corrective action coordinators often have to deal with no or delayed responses to corrective action requests (CAR). There are several potential reasons for the delays, and causal analysis can help identify and remedy systemic causes. There are also several different options to choose from when a particular CAR reply is delayed. The level of response should not only be appropriate to the potential risks, but also utilize an escalation process when necessary in order to ensure that the situation is resolved.

This Live Webinar by expert speaker Duke Okes will help attendees learn how to improve responses to CARs and tips on how to deal with the frustrations of self and others. Additionally, Duke will discuss all the technical know-how on how QMS itself can provide support for resolving delays while making it an organizational versus quality department issue.
