EdTech Company GoReact Adds Wing Butler as Senior Director of Sales
OREM, UT (PRWEB) September 11, 2016 -- GoReact, makers of a video-based skill-training platform used in the classroom, today announced the hire of Wing Butler as Senior Director of Sales.
GoReact has seen widespread adoption in performance- and skill-based courses where demonstrating competency or conducting formative assessment is key. It has rapidly become the technology of choice for teaching sign language and ASL interpreting skills.
Wing is a high-performance leader with a track record of both terrific new business growth and high customer satisfaction. He comes to GoReact as the former Senior Director of Operations of Purple Communications, where he built an international sales and operations team, successfully managing over 800 employees in the US and Puerto Rico. He also led expansion into several new markets.
In addition, Wing is uniquely qualified to add leadership to GoReact’s ASL market efforts with his perspective as a lifelong ally of the Deaf community. As a CODA (child of deaf adults), Wing has been a certified Sign Language Interpreter since 2002, was an Executive Board Member of the Registry for Interpreters for the Deaf, and is also a frequent contributor to Street Leverage, a web community focused on Deaf interests. Adding Wing to the GoReact leadership team is a big part of GoReact’s commitment to providing the best tools for sign language teachers.
No stranger to building and growing companies, Wing founded and built several start-ups aimed at serving the Deaf community, including DeafTV.com and Signing Resources Inc, a provider of on-site sign language interpreters for large events including the 2002 Winter Olympics. Wing has been able to combine his vast connections, experience, and resources in the community to build out successful sales and marketing teams everywhere he has gone.
“We’re excited to have an executive of Wing’s caliber join our leadership team,” said Ken Meyers, founder and CEO of GoReact. “He’s a capable, driven, successful business leader who understands his customers wherever he goes. It’s important that we grow our sales in a way that results in delighted users of the GoReact system.”
At GoReact, Wing will lead sales across multiple disciplines and help forge new markets for the company. GoReact’s rapid growth and adoption among more than higher education institutions indicates an opportunity to expand GoReact’s footprint even further.
“The notion that we can elevate the quality, relevance, and immediacy of our learning by direct feedback through video has me excited for all the good we'll be able to do,” said Wing. “There comes a time when history is done raising you, and the future asks you to build the present."
