We’ve been in the business of helping people our entire lives and we knew, if we were going to open a business, it had to be something that had a direct positive impact on people in our region.
Charlottesville, VA (PRWEB) September 13, 2016
When Charlotte Henderson was working in the real estate industry, she got a glimpse into the reality many seniors and families are facing – you need to downsize or relocate, but finding the time and resources can be challenging. Now she and her husband Michael are looking forward to providing a solution to that problem through their new business, Caring Transitions of Charlottesville.
Caring Transitions is America’s largest resource for managing senior relocations as well as downsizing and estate liquidations. In addition to organizing, packing, de-cluttering, moving and resettling, Caring Transitions can handle estate sales, liquidations, and preparing homes for market. Caring Transitions of Charlottesville serves Charlottesville, Ivy, Albemarle, Crozet, Madison, Fluvanna, Nelson, Zions Crossroads, Waynesboro, Greene and the surrounding communities.
“We’ve been in the business of helping people our entire lives and we knew, if we were going to open a business, it had to be something that had a direct positive impact on people in our region,” Charlotte said. “Caring Transitions of Charlottesville is a locally-owned and operated business, but, as a franchise, we also have the backing and support of a nationally-recognized corporate team.”
Prior to opening Caring Transitions, Charlotte worked with local realtors as an interior architect, where she created online floor plans to help sell homes. She’s also an experienced caregiver, both professionally and as a stay-at-home parent. Michael, who will be Caring Transitions of Charlottesville’s head of client relations, owned his own professional relocation company for 27 years.
“As our three children got older and started leaving the nest, I realized I was ready for my next journey. As I was working with realtors through my interior architecture business, I started to see that there really needed to be a service in this community aimed at helping seniors relocate. Once I saw that need and started to weigh the strengths and experience Michael and I could bring to that kind of business, launching Caring Transitions of Charlottesville made perfect sense,” Charlotte said.
“We are from Charlottesville and I’m looking forward to having a way to help people in my community get through whatever transition they’re facing while giving them to time to spend with their loved ones,” she added.
Whether your situation is planned or unexpected, Caring Transitions’ services are perfect for seniors moving in with family or into a safer living situation as well as busy families and people clearing out the home of a loved one who has passed. All of Caring Transitions’ services are customizable, so clients only pay for the services they need – whether that means managing the entire move and estate-clearing or just getting someone resettled into their new place.
Henderson is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialists, a designation bestowed by an independent organization that evaluates providers of senior relocation services. Caring Transitions of Charlottesville is bonded and insured and all employees are background-checked.
