Identity Automation Teams up with New Caney ISD to Present on Overcoming the Obstacles of Deploying 1:1 Chromebook Initiatives and Google Apps for Education at FAEDS 2016
Houston, TX (PRWEB) September 14, 2016 -- Identity Automation, provider of the most scalable, full-lifecycle identity and access management (IAM) software on the market, today announced its presence at FAEDS 2016, taking place Sept. 18-22, 2016 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Identity Automation’s Director of Sales for North America is teaming up with customer New Caney ISD’s Director of Technology to co-present on how to overcome the hidden challenges of large scale migrations to Google digital classroom environments.
In 2011, New Caney Independent School District did not have WiFi or student accounts and only had basic email for staff. Just three years later, they managed the largest roll-out of Chromebooks to students in Texas. Today, New Caney ISD remains nationally recognized for their technology leadership and ability to deploy 13,500 Chromebooks and 1,000 tablets to their 17 schools in just a week. In this session, New Caney ISD will share their journey and proven best practices on how to easily adopt Google environments, including securing stakeholder buy-in, evaluating Google Classroom, and handling the challenges inherent to deploying Chromebook 1:1 initiatives.
Additionally, Identity Automation will showcase how leveraging a next generation identity and access management solution makes going Google easier and more manageable and will discuss how to tackle one size fits all authentication, mirror directories, password challenges, and user account creation and management.
Identity Automation will be exhibiting its next-gen identity and access management software at booth #22 on Monday, Sept. 19th from 7:00am - 5:00pm ET and on Tuesday, Sept. 20th from 7:00am - 4:30pm ET.

WHAT: Overcoming the Hidden Obstacles of Going Google with Next-Gen IAM
As schools face increasing pressure to modernize their classrooms and curricula, Google environments - such as Google Apps, Google Classroom, and Google Chromebooks - are becoming increasingly central to this strategy. Web-based education apps and 1:1 Chromebook initiatives are no longer a vision of the future, but more and more, are becoming an integral part of the modern, digital classroom.
However, effectively managing identity and access for these environments is not as simple as one might think. The vision of the digital classroom can quickly turn into a headache if a large-scale migration to the Google environment occurs without the right identity and access management (IAM) tools in place. A Next-Gen IAM solution makes this move easier and more manageable, without requiring Active Directory changes or custom coding, as well as enables an ideal level of granularity and control within the Google environment.
Identity Automation and New Caney Independent School District discuss the challenges of a move to the Google environment and how putting the right IAM infrastructure in place empowers school districts to support the Google information requirements, without having to re-engineer Active Directory.
