Yusen Logistics Exhibits at 2016 Supply Change Exchange, Co-Chairs CSCMP Educational Track

Yusen Logistics, a leading third-party logistics provider, is co-chairing an educational track at the upcoming CSCMP Conference.

Thomas Tsui, Yusen Logistics’ Director, Supply Chain Solutions, is co-chairing the Manufacturing and Service Operations track at this year's CSCMP Conference.

Yusen Logistics Americas (Inc.) will be exhibiting for the first time at the upcoming 2016 Supply Chain Exchange which will be held in conjunction with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professional’s (CSCMP) Annual Conference. The company will be located at Booth 405.

Yusen Logistics is also involved in developing an educational track, Manufacturing and Service Operations, which is comprised of six sessions over the course of two days. The track, co-chaired by Thomas Tsui, Yusen Logistics’ Director, Supply Chain Solutions and Professor Jayant Saraph, Ph.D., College of Management, Metropolitan State University, Minneapolis, will examine important supply chain issues and trends in the manufacturing and service industries.

“Yusen Logistics is honored to contribute to CSCMP’s Annual Conference,” said Tsui. “The educational tracks enable participants to expand their knowledge of the industry and give them exposure to the best practices of some of the most innovative companies in the world.”

The sessions will feature executives from many leading companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Penguin Random House, Intel Corp., ConAgra Foods and McDonalds Corp. Industry thought leaders such as MIT’s Yossi Sheffi and Nancy Nix of AWSOME will also serve as panelists. The speakers will discuss emerging strategic concepts and operational tactics that can lead to improved logistics and enhanced supplier and customer relationships, among many topics.

The conference, which will be held in Orlando, FL on September 25-28, is the largest of its kind for the supply chain management profession and the only event representing the entire supply chain end-to-end. The sessions for the Manufacturing and Service Operations track will take place at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center as follows:*

Monday, September 26

Session 1: The Supply Chain as a Market Enabler. (10:30-11:45)
Session 2: The Power of Resilience. (2:00-3:15)
Session 3: Supply Chain Challenges and Capabilities for the Future – A Conversation with Top Executives. (3:45-5:00)

Tuesday, September 27

Session 4: Envisioning Supply Chain Management 4.0 – How Japanese Manufacturing Companies Design Supply Chain Strategies towards Industry 4.0. (10:30-11:45).
Session 5: Enhancing Supply Chain and Operations to Address Business Shifts – Industry Perspective. (2:00-3:15).
Session 6: Creating Effective Supply Chain and Sourcing Networks. (3:45-5:00)

In addition, three Yusen Logistics senior level executives will participate in panel discussions on Tuesday, September 27.
