Alex Camacho, PhD, founder and director of the Center for Immigration McKinney, first vice president of the Hispanic Baptist Convention of Texas, a pastor for twenty years, social activist for immigrants, educated writer and author, has completed his new book “La Puerta Cerrada Del Oriente”: a gripping and potent account that delves into the ideas of religion, race, equality and acceptance.
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Alex Camacho’s telling work examines social and religious values.
Camacho explains “‘Puerta Cerrada del Oriente’ is a book based on my thesis Doctoral Baptist University of Louisiana in 2015. In this work I speak from experience of my trips to Israel, on the doors around the wall of Jerusalem, but emphasized "the Closed door of the East.” Just as God used Caesar Augustus to issue an edict and called all the census, Joseph being in the city of David, went to Bethlehem to register. While there, the prophecy that Mary would give birth to Jesus is fulfilled. God uses Caesar Augustus that had nothing to do with God or His writing, is used to carry out the fulfillment of a prophecy. In the same way, God uses the Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in 1517 to close the Golden gate, the gate of East Jerusalem, when he realized that the door would come the Messiah to reign. The style Herod sent to kill all the children, the Magnificent in its paranoia, the door is shut to keep out the Messiah there. In doing so he fulfilled the prophecy of Ezequiel 44:1-4.”
Readers who wish to experience this profound work can purchase“La Puerta Cerrada Del Oriente” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
