Join Industry Leaders At The Analytics Innovation Festival In Chicago
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 21, 2016 -- While most companies are now fully capable of collecting every piece of data possible, many still struggle to use it to its optimal potential. In a recent survey of the FTSE250 by business transformation consultancy Moorhouse, just 11% of such organizations said they believe they are effectively leveraging big data to inform their strategic decisions.
The Analytics Innovation Festival, taking place in Chicago on November 29 and 30, comprises four different summits - the HR & Workforce Analytics Innovation Summit, the Business Intelligence Innovation Summit, the Social Media & Web Analytics Innovation Summit and the flagship Predictive Analytics Innovation Summit. More than 100 leading industry speakers will take to the stage from a diverse range of companies - from established tech giants like PayPal and Facebook to exciting young startups like Adwerx - helping in excess of 600 senior level attendees to better understand both current and future trends in the field.
One technology making a big impact at the moment is self-service analytics, and many see the future of data resting in the hands of the layman user, who has limited statistical background. Dr. Robyn Rap at Indeed.com, however, thinks differently. She will be at the festival speaking at The Business Intelligence Innovation Summit. She argues that: “Self-service tools are just that - tools. Using them effectively depends greatly on the person who's using it, their judgment, and their intuition to dig into the data and its quality. Tools are going to come and go, and you can teach people how to use them. It's much harder to teach someone how to approach data appropriately, with curiosity and a healthy amount of skepticism.”
Dr. Rap will be joined by a number of other speakers at the festival, including Kira Roytburg, Head of Exchange Analytics at Twitter, Neal Patel, Head of Human/Social Dynamics at Google, Dr. Zhongcai Zhang, Chief Analytics Officer at New York Community Bancorp, Inc., and Jeff Hamilton, Head of Consumer Insights at BMW Group, among others.
Alex Lane, curator of the event, said: “Bringing together these four summits is a milestone for the analytics calendar due to the breadth of topics and talent on offer. The exciting line-up should mean that all issues are covered in depth, inspiring the kind of insights to overcome any challenge and drive growth moving forward.”
Limited Early Bird Passes are available until Friday, September 30. For further information about all four summits including speakers, schedules and registration, check out the website: http://pages.theinnovationenterprise.com/AnalyticsInnovation-Festival2016.html
