Northport, NY (PRWEB) September 19, 2016 -- Mrs. Bace is currently president/CEO of Infidel, Inc., a network security consulting practice. She is also chief strategist for the Center for Forensics, Information Technology and Security (CFITS) at the University of South Alabama. She previously served as a senior member of the cybersecurity team at In-Q-Tel, the investment arm of the U.S. Intelligence Community, after a decade of service as a Venture Consultant for Trident Capital, where she oversaw one of the largest cybersecurity investment portfolios in Silicon Valley.

Bringing a wealth of information security and entrepreneurial experience to the Code Dx board of advisors, Mrs. Bace has served a similar role on the advisory boards of many successful network security startups, including: Tripwire, Security Focus, SecureWorks, Intruvert Networks, TriCipher, Qualys, Sygate, HyTrust, Neohapsis, Thor Technologies, AirTight, and Arxan.
She been honored as one of the most influential women in IT security on numerous occasions (most recently as one of the “Five Most Influential Women in Security” by SC Magazine in 2014). Mrs. Bace honed her information security expertise at the National Security Agency (NSA), where she was a charter member of the NSA’s Information Security (InfoSec) Research and Technology Group (R2), leading the Computer Misuse and Anomaly Detection (CMAD) Research program. For this service, she received a Distinguished Leadership Award. Her research collaborations with the FBI produced a manual for Computer Crime Investigation. In 1996, she became the deputy security officer for the Computing, Information, and Communications Division of the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The following year, she co-founded Infidel.
In addition, Mrs. Bace is a noted author on topics in intrusion detection and network security. She has written two books and contributed chapters to five others. She holds a M.E.S. in digital systems engineering from Loyola College.
