Today's consumers are organically sharing their favorite brands & products through social channels.

Netra, a leader in Visual Intelligence and Search, has been named a finalist in the competition for Shop.org’s Digital Commerce Startup of the Year. The finalists were selected by a panel of investors and industry experts based on their potential to transform retail and ecommerce in the next five years. The winner will be announced at Shop.org’s 2016 Digital Summit which takes place September 26-28 in Dallas.

Executives from three selected companies will present their solutions to a live audience and panel of judges, with a focus on why their company is the most likely to transform and empower the retail and digital commerce industry in the coming years. Only one innovative company will take home the prestigious title of Start Up of the Year.

“Each year, this program aims to find promising rising stars who have what it takes to make a significant impact on the digital retail industry,” said Artemis Berry, Vice President, Digital Retail for Shop.org and NRF. “We are incredibly excited to have Netra in the competition this year, and believe that each of our finalists has the potential to bring retailing to the next level.”

“It’s a huge honor for Netra to be considered for this award and a strong validation for what we’re building,” said Richard Lee, CEO of Netra. “Today’s consumers are organically sharing their favorite brands & products through social channels. We believe these same consumers want to be able to shop their friends’ photos & videos, or take a picture of a product to search for visually similar products – something Netra’s solution can deliver today. With VR / AR replacing computers and mobile phones in the near future, Netra’s technology will have an even more profound impact on how we search and shop.”
