Giving Old Jeans New Life, The Limited is Taking a Social Responsibility in Ensuring Old Denim is Reused and Recycled for the Better Good of the World

The Limited, an iconic fashion retailer, recently debuted a brand new line of premium Universal Stretch TM denim, which offers one universally flattering fit for every body shape. After receiving an overwhelming response, The Limited has launched a recycling program in partnership with I:Collect (I:CO), a global solutions provider for apparel reuse and recycling, to accept old denim and give it new life in its 110 retail stores across the United States until October 10, 2016.

The Limited is a client-focused brand that strives to develop partnerships which resonate well with its consumers. Throughout 2016, a major focus for the company has been to align the brand with well-known, mission-driven programs.

“A large percentage of our clients have told us that they prefer shopping at a retailer where they can receive a discount on great product, while helping to support a socially responsible cause” said Diane Ellis, CEO of The Limited.

The Limited’s new denim collection offers the fabulous fit every woman longs for when shopping for and wearing denim. The company tested countless premium fabrics to find the perfect one, something that provides just the right amount of stretch, while conforming to her unique shape and complementing her body perfectly. The soft hand of the fabric provides a level of comfort that is also unparalleled in the market. The new denim collection retails from $79.95 to $89.95 and comes in a multitude of washes and leg shapes.

To help keep denim out of landfills, starting September 16th, clients can drop off any brand of denim at any of The Limited’s participating retail stores, and receive a $20 coupon for each pair they bring in. Each $20 coupon can be redeemed towards one new pair of the Universal Stretch TM denim jeans.

I:CO will rehome the old denim, repurpose it or recycle it into raw materials for other products such as insulation, carpet padding, and even fiber for new apparel. The Limited’s denim recycling program makes it easy and rewarding for clients to make a difference and help create a better community and world.
