Kissimmee, Florida (PRWEB) September 21, 2016 -- Kissimmee Utility Authority today released its 2015 annual report titled “Gather ‘Round,” available at http://kua.com/2015-annual-report.
The 28-page report highlights the utility’s strong performance and continued evolution as an innovative leader in the industry.
The report features nine stories from employees, customers, board members and community leaders who share their personal accounts of how KUA made investments during the past year.
Among the utility’s highlights for 2015:
• Operating revenue grew by 11.2 percent to $188.4 million from $169.3 in 2014.
• Operating expenses decreased by six percent to $156.8 million from $166.8 million in 2014.
• KUA assets exceeded liabilities by $204.1 million (net position). Of this amount, $18.7 million is available to be used to meet ongoing obligations to customers and creditors.
• The utility’s total outstanding long-term debt decreased 20.5 percent to $96.4 million.
The report’s photographs were shot at the Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek Regional Park in Kissimmee.
