BlackRidge Technology Sponsors NYIT Cybersecurity Conference: Mark Graff to Keynote 2016 - How Many Votes will the Russians Get?
(PRWEB) September 20, 2016 -- BlackRidge Technology is pleased to announce its support of the annual New York Institute of Technology’s Cybersecurity Conference, which will be held at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway in New York City on Sept. 22.
“The participation of BlackRidge Technology in our annual conference brings an important and needed business perspective to the work that our faculty and students do in NYIT’s classrooms and research laboratories,” said Nada Marie Anid, Ph.D., dean, NYIT School of Engineering and Computing Sciences, which convenes the conference.
BlackRidge Technology, NYIT Cybersecurity Conference sponsor, provides identity-based network and cyber defense that stops cyber-attacks and protects against insider threats at the earliest possible time, on the first packet before network sessions are established. This technology provides the equivalent of secure caller ID for the network that allows only identified and authorized users or devices access to enterprise and cloud systems.
Mike Miracle, SVP Marketing and Strategy for BlackRidge Technology, is chairing the conference session on Government Agencies on the Forefront of Cyber Protection featuring CISOs from New York State and New York City, along with the FBI.
“Assessing our critical infrastructure at all levels of government, implementing additional security polices and controls, and addressing the cyber security skills gaps are important topics to address,” said Miracle. “Keeping our government agencies and systems safe from attack is a vital component to our nation’s security. I am honored to be chairing this session.”
BlackRidge Technology cyber security advisor and Industry Keynote presenter, Mark Graff, is a seasoned Chief Information Security Officer, cyber security practitioner and thought leader. He recently served as the CISO for NASDAQ and has also served as the CISO for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Currently he is the founder and CEO of Tellagraff, LLC and radio show host of “CyberMatters with Mark Graff” on WNTP News Talk Radio. As the industry keynote speaker, he will discuss the safety of our election process. Given the recent attacks to election systems by a foreign group, his information is both timely and effective.
“It certainly seems the Russians are taking an unhealthy interest in our Presidential election, this time around,” Graff comments. “I’ll explain what we think we know about what they have done so far, my opinion as to why they may be doing it, and what the chances are they might actually affect the outcome of the election.”
Along with Graff, Deputy Assistant Attorney General Richard Downing joins NYIT's Cybersecurity Conference as the government keynote speaker.
