Zagoria Law Settles Case Against Grimes Trucking for $650,000
(PRWEB) September 27, 2016 -- Zagoria Law, an Atlanta-based law firm specializing in personal injury cases, today announced that it has settled the negligence suit of Dorcas Milton vs. Grimes Trucking (Defendant) in favor of the plaintiff, securing a $650,000 award for its client, Milton through insurance company claim 341083-GC.
According to the insurance claim, the Grimes Trucking dump truck was allegedly moving westbound on Mercer University Drive on November 1, 2015, when the driver turned left in front of Milton. Milton was allegedly traveling eastbound on Mercer Drive in a 2013 Kia Optima. The dump truck’s alleged sudden left-hand turn in front of Milton’s vehicle allegedly caused a catastrophic collision. Milton was allegedly admitted to Grady Hospital’s trauma unit with an alleged left femoral hip dislocation and a posterior dislocation of the femoral head, along with a multi-segmented fracture of the posterior hip wall.
“A massive dump truck like the one involved in this case can cause significant physical damage to drivers and passengers in smaller cars,” said Zagoria Law Founder and Principal David Zagoria. “Catastrophic injuries such as Milton’s are likely to affect her for the rest of her life, as is evidenced by this sizeable award.”
