Zitter Health Insights Announces Leadership Change
Livingston, NJ (PRWEB) September 26, 2016 -- Zitter Health Insight s, a business intelligence firm serving life science companies, specialty pharmacies and managed healthcare organizations focused on optimizing patient access to pharmaceuticals, today announced that founder and CEO Mark Zitter will step down from his leadership role. Current President John Monahan will be appointed CEO of the business upon Zitter’s transition to Chairman.

Monahan will assume the CEO role on January 1, 2017. Zitter will continue as Chairman of the Zitter Health Insights Board, and will remain a major shareholder in the privately-held business.
Mark Zitter founded the business as The Zitter Group in 1989, and initially produced conferences and conducted custom research on managed care trends. The business was renamed Zitter Health Insights to reflect its transition to a syndicated research and business intelligence firm working with life science companies, payers, pharmacy benefit managers, specialty pharmacies, and other healthcare stakeholders.

Monahan joined Zitter Health Insights in 2014, having served most recently as Senior Vice President of Corporate Services for Barnabas Health. Prior to that, he was President & CEO of Wolters Kluwer Health’s Global Pharmaceutical Solutions Division. He also held a number of leadership roles with other health information businesses, including CEO of IC Axon and President and other roles at Innovex Inc, a division of Quintiles.
