Health Education & Training Company Fit for Birth Announces Live Seminar to Address Diastasis Recti
Miami, FL (PRWEB) September 25, 2016 -- Health Education and Training Company Fit For Birth announced today that it will team with The Bloom Method to deliver a course that is truly unlike any other. From October 22 – 23, Fit For Birth will begin offering a course in addressing Diastasis Recti in pre and post-natal women. The Pre & Post Natal Diastasis and Core Consultant Course is created specifically for fitness and wellness practitioners. You can become the saving grace for many women, and in turn their families, who have suffered unnecessarily due to challenges including: diastasis recti, pelvic girdle pain, symphysis pubis dysfunction, piriformis syndrome, herniation, and sacroiliac joint dysfunction in addition to helping them get back in shape.
More than ever before, women are seeking professionals and programs that help them solve challenges that occur during and after pregnancy. The course will also explore topics like C-section rehabilitation and episiotomy rehabilitation.
Diastasis Recti
Fitness professionals have a unique opportunity to either heal or further worsen Diastasis Recti in their pregnant or postpartum clients. Although “core” is now a staple fitness topic of the new century, appropriate application in fitness arenas can be lacking. Lack of knowledge about deep core inner unit mechanics often means exercises that are classically referred to as “core exercises” often don’t work the core at all.
The transverse abdominis (TVA) receives most of the press when it comes to inner unit core function, so the “draw-in” cue runs rampant in fitness classes all over the world. However other muscles like the diaphragm (DPH), pelvic floor (PF), and multifidus are also known as primary “inner unit” components. What if these were just as responsible for optimal core function, and for preventing or healing diastasis recti?
About the Course
The course will also help trainers avoid three common mistakes made by fitness professionals that permit or outright cause Diastasis Recti in their perinatal clients.
- General Lack of Core Cueing
- Lack of DPH Cueing
- Over-Cuing the TVA
Diastasis Recti affects about two-thirds of pregnant women, and various programs around the world have risen to address the problem. Become the definitive resource on pre and post-natal fitness by understanding the science behind past and present techniques. Empower your clients to achieve better results faster. Help women gain back their lives while making an incredible living doing it.
Join guest trainer Brooke Cates, founder of The Bloom Method as she shares her knowledge and experience of prenatal and postpartum fitness. Cates is known for her strong desire to empower women through movement before, during and after their pregnancies. Her passion for empowering pregnant women through body awareness and movement techniques has earned her an international following from both perinatal women seeking her services and fitness professionals who desire to be trained on her methods.
The Pre & Post Natal Diastasis and Core Consultant Course will be offered at IronFlower Fitness located at 7200 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, Florida 33138. The live course will take place on Saturday, October 22 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, October 23 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
