With 10,000 Baby Boomers turning 65 every day, helping investors successfully navigate retirement has never been more important.

Loring Ward announced that it will host a special Living Lab at its annual National Conference in San Diego on Wednesday, September 28.

Developed in close collaboration and partnership with the Center of Healthy Aging, through the Stein Institute at UC San Diego, the Living Lab will offer more than 150 Financial Advisors the opportunity to connect with subject matter experts in key areas such as Social Connections, Stress Management, Grief, Bereavement, Physical Activity, Nutrition and Caregiving. Loring Ward will also offer additional resources around Retirement and Succession/Continuity Planning for financial advisors.

The goal of the Living Lab is for participants to gain new insights and practical ideas on how they can help investors prepare for and ultimately thrive in the latter phase of their lives.

As Americans lead increasingly longer, healthier lives, many advisors are now working across generations. This means going beyond traditional financial planning to help clients (and loved ones) prepare for and ultimately thrive across the full journey of their lives. That’s why Loring Ward has focused the entire 2016 National Education Conference (which runs from September 26 – 28) on longevity and guiding clients over the long‐term.

In addition to the Living Lab, highlights this year include:

  • Thought leaders in finance including Robert Novy‐Marx, Meir Statman and Nobel laureate, Harry Markowitz
  • Hands‐on Applied Sessions and Collaboration Lab
  • Opportunities to learn and share with peers
  • Nationally‐recognized speaker and best‐selling author, Andy Andrews

According to Alex Potts, CEO of Loring Ward, “With 10,000 Baby Boomers turning 65 every day, helping investors successfully navigate retirement has never been more important. The Living Lab is a significant part of Loring Ward’s commitment in this critical area. Not only do we want to make a difference for advisors and our clients, but also our own loved ones who are near or in retirement.”
