Budnitz Bicycles Introduces the Model E, Bringing High-Tech and Simple Design to Electric Bike Market.
Burlington, Vermont (PRWEB) September 28, 2016 -- Budnitz Bicycles introduced the Model E this month, a titanium frame electric bike with 15MPH of electric assist and a range of up to 100 miles, meaning riders can cruise up hills without breaking a sweat. Unlike early e-bikes with bulky external batteries, the entire motor on the Model E is concealed within the rear hub, and it charges while you ride, virtually eliminating the need to plug-in.

About the Model E
The Budnitz Model E features a ZeHus Bike+ all in one, single speed rear hub capable of electric assist up to 15MPH along an incredible range as high as 100 miles. All in a package weighing less than 30 pounds.
The Bike+ rear hub was designed by Italian engineering partner, ZeHus, based on research begun at the Technical University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano). A polished aluminum enclosure includes 250W electric motor, 30V L-ion 160Wh battery and an array of smart sensors. Algorithms monitor effort and environment, delivering an electric boost up to 15MPH over a range of 20-100 miles.
Paired with the Gates Carbon Drive belt, the entire drivetrain is grease-free, virtually maintenance-free and protected from weather and road debris.
Signature Budnitz Design
Model E includes the signature Budnitz twin-tube cantilever frame. Engineered to flex in just the right places, it absorbs road shock without suspension. Geometry is tuned for exceptional lateral stability, delivering optimal power to the pedals. Crafted from 3AL 2.5V titanium alloy, it will never rust, corrode or crack – and weighs just 3.6lbs. Also available in classic chromoly steel.
Built Custom
Like every Budnitz Bicycle, Model E is built fully custom, one at a time, in our Burlington, Vermont studio. Custom options include racks, fenders, lighting, tires, leather and more. Available in natural brushed metal or any color imaginable, using a high-quality electrostatic powdercoat.
