“On-demand services are here to stay, with more consumers using them to fill more needs. That’s why our recommendation for small business owners is to create a strategy that works best for them," said Dario Ambrosini, COO of Manta.

Manta, one of the largest online resource dedicated to small business, today released new research in an effort to help small business owners capture new customers and succeed in today’s competitive environment. The whitepaper, “How Lead Generation Services Can Help Small Business Owners Thrive in the On-Demand Age,” explains how the on-demand economy is shaking up the small business landscape and offers tips for small business owners to capitalize on lead generation services.

To gauge the state of on-demand services in the U.S., Manta surveyed 1,333 consumers and found that they’re flocking to platforms like HomeAdvisor and Avvo for their ease-of-use and application. According to the survey, more than half of those using on-demand tools said they use these services primarily because of their convenience. Another 31 percent who use on-demand platforms use fewer local services as a result – a finding that could significantly impact small business owners’ sales. With these findings in mind, Manta’s whitepaper highlights the need for small business owners to adapt to consumers’ changing expectations and habits.

“In a separate survey of small business owners, we found that many businesses are already adjusting to the on-demand economy,” said Dario Ambrosini, COO of Manta. “More than two-thirds of respondents said they’ve changed both their pricing models and products or services, showing that they are aware of the opportunity presented by on-demand services. This demonstrates a much faster adoption of new trends in the market than we’ve seen in the past.”

Though small business owners may see the potential for using these new platforms, getting started with a strategy to remain competitive is a big hurdle. As Manta’s whitepaper explains, small business owners can adopt lead generation services to ensure a steady stream of new business and keep pace with emerging on-demand apps.

“How Lead Generation Services Can Help Small Business Owners Thrive in the On-Demand Age” provides insight into:

-Why lead generation services are important for small business owners looking to thrive in the on-demand age.

-The two qualities to look for when considering lead generation services, including a record of success and significant user control.

-Three tips for small business owners looking to maximize use of lead generation services.

“On-demand services are here to stay, with more consumers using them to fill more needs. That’s why our recommendation for small business owners is to create a strategy that works best for them,” said Ambrosini. “These platforms represent a tremendous opportunity for small business owners to connect with new customers, grow sales and succeed in the on-demand economy.”
