Publicist of the Year Stages Another PSA Campaign for Authors to Check Their Books in October Coinciding With the First Annual Indie Author Day

She will also be appearing before the Conejo Valley Writers Group in Thousand Oaks, CA, and will be discussing public relations strategies for authors, and online book piracy issues.
During the month of October, she is encouraging authors and publishers to run detailed Google and Bing searches to see if their work is compromised by being offered for “free” without their knowledge or permission. She wants them to plug in the title of their book, or books, the author’s name, and the words ‘free downloads’ to see what comes up.

For over two years Rees has been working non-stop to help raise public awareness for this very important, but little-known topic.
