The 2016 Deseret News Home Show opens its door on Friday, October 7, 2016 and continues through Sunday, October 9 at the South Towne Expo Center. This season, the Home Show team welcomes Drew and Jonathan Scott, the stars of HGTV’s Property Brothers, on Saturday only. Also, Kelly Edwards, designer and host of HGTV’s Design on a Dime, and Andy and Candis Meredith from HGTV and DIY Network’s Old Home Love join the celebrity guest lineup.
Widely known as the dynamic duo of home improvement, Drew and Jonathan Scott of HGTV’s hit TV show Property Brothers, have worked in the housing and construction market for many years. Drew is a real estate agent, while Jonathan is a contractor, and their combined talents help transform fixer-upper properties into dream homes. At the Home Show, the Scott Brothers plan to share insider secrets about common renovation projects. Home Show guests can catch them on the Design Stage sponsored by Auric Solar on Saturday, October 8 at 1:00 p.m.
In addition to the Scott Brothers, Kelly Edwards from HGTV’s Design on a Dime will appear on the Design Stage on Friday, October 7 at 7:00 p.m., followed by Andy and Candis Meredith from HGTV and DIY Network’s Old Home Love on the Design Stage on Friday at 8:00 p.m.
This year, on the Kitchen Stage, Chef Nettie Frank, owner of Silver Whisk Catering and creator of Beyond Glazed Doughnuts, will share her favorite Italian recipes and kitchen secrets. Also, there are several new features, including the Christmas Tree Village and the Blogger Vs. Blogger design challenge.
