New Hampshire Attractions Team Up To Tackle Hunger
Lincoln, NH (PRWEB) September 28, 2016 -- Award winning Alpine Adventures, Whale’s Tale Waterpark and recently opened Candia Springs Adventure Park wrapped up their summer season with a way to give back to their local communities. The three parks offered discounts to their guests in exchange for non-perishable food items that were donated to local food pantries in each community they serve. Between the three companies, over three truckloads of food were delivered.
Alpine Adventures, located in Lincoln, NH, offered 10% off any tour through Labor Day and opened up their food drive to include school supplies in addition to non-perishable food items. Whale’s Tale closed out their season by offering $3 off their general admission tickets. “Thanks to the tremendous generosity of our guests, we were able to provide a truckload of non-perishable food donations to our local food pantry at the Lincoln Woodstock Community Center. We can’t wait to do it again next year,” says Toni Stuart of Whale’s Tale Waterpark. “Donations like this are critical to the sense of community here in Lincoln Woodstock,” said Dan Lamoureaux of the Lincoln Woodstock Community Center.
Candia Springs Adventure Park opened its doors at the beginning of the summer with several hundred thousand dollars in improvements and expansions to the former Liquid Planet Waterpark. The newly constructed Aerial Adventure Park was the largest expansion to the property and has received rave reviews. “Being able to offer this level of challenge course and adventure so close to Manchester and the seacoast was really exciting to us. Our vision for Candia Springs was to be a taste of our other award-winning mountain attractions right in the heart of southern, NH, but it really has developed into a unique adventure in its own right, and there is much more to come there.” Said Jeb Boyd, CEO of NLI Entertainment, “With the three parks, we were able to make our largest contribution ever.” The aerial adventure park is open through the fall but wrapped up summer at the waterpark with up to $10 off their ultimate adventure ticket. Candia Springs donated 265 pounds of food to the New Hampshire Food Bank in Manchester.
Alpine Adventures and Candia Springs Adventure Park were so thrilled with how successful the summer food drives went that they have decided to welcome fall with another food drive to continue to help their local communities prepare for the upcoming holiday season. Alpine Adventures is offering 20% off any midweek tours (excluding holidays) and 10% off weekend tours for each person who brings in an unopened non-perishable food item. Candia Springs is offering $9 off their state of the art aerial adventure park in exchange for non-perishable unopened food donations. Candia Springs hopes to be open through the end of October and will then close down to continue their expansion and enhancements to the park. Alpine Adventures is open year round for zipline, off road and snowshoe tours during the winter. For more information on the NLI family of attractions, visit http://www.NH-fun.com.
