Eastern Seasons Gala Dinner to Benefit Street Children
London (PRWEB UK) 30 September 2016 -- The gala evening will be hosted by former BBC Radio 1, BBC TV and current Sky Sports presenter David Garrido, who is a champion of the charity itself. Tickets are priced at £690/£760 and are available from the Eastern Seasons website. The event will be held in the grand interiors of central London’s One Marylebone – formally the Holy Trinity Church, built in 1826 by the leading Neo-classical architect of the time, Sir John Soane. Guests will enjoy an evening of fine dining, exclusive entertainment and a charity auction.
The event will benefit Street Child United, a charity that utilises the power of sport to support street-connected children and orphans worldwide. All proceeds from the auction will go towards the Street Child World Cup which will take place in Russia ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The Street Child United World Cup will unite former street children and orphans from across the world to play in their own football tournament, celebrating their cultures and transcending language barriers at a festival of the arts, and standing together in their very own Congress. The aim is to challenge negative preconceptions and give all children an opportunity to reach their full potential.
Street Child United’s CEO, John Wroe says:
“Football has an amazing capacity to inspire young people from all nationalities and backgrounds. The Street Child World Cup provides a platform for former street children and orphans to shine as athletes, artists and advocates for street-connected children all over the world. We are grateful to Eastern Seasons for supporting our organisation, and for helping to raise funds for the 2018 Street Child World Cup in Moscow”.
Sky Sports commentator and MC for the event David Garrido says:
“With exclusive entertainment, fine food and the company of the brightest and most influential people from the world of sport, business and culture, The Eastern Seasons charity gala promises to be a very special night, with a special underlying message. No matter where we come from, if we work together, we can achieve anything.”
Singer and Songwriter Sophie Ellis Bextor says:
"I'm really looking forward to performing at the Eastern Seasons gala on 5 December. Eastern European countries have always been hugely supportive of my music, and I look forward to reciprocating their support with this unique and intimate gig. I'm sure it will be a night to remember."
