ZONZIA MEDIA, Inc. (OTCQB: ZONX), a new Over the Top (OTT) next generation streaming media company, today announced that it has appointed Hon. John Reynolds to its Board of Advisors.
Hon. Reynolds, who is from British Columbia, has an extensive and distinguished background in both the private and public sectors. His executive career comprises substantial experience in venture capital development, consumer products marketing and resource sector development. In the public sector Hon. Reynolds served many years in elected political offices, both federal and provincial.
As an elected official, Hon. Reynolds served in the House of Commons as a Progressive Conservative Member of Parliament for British Columbia, during which time he served on the Transportation, Health and Welfare, and Justice and Legal Affairs committees, amongst many others. Hon. Reynolds also held positions as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly for British Columbia, Minister of Environment, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, and Chief Opposition Whip of the House of Commons, in which capacity Hon. Reynolds was a member of the Procedure and House Affairs Committee and a member of the Board of Internal Economy, which manages the budget of the House of Commons.
Hon. Reynolds served as co-chair of the successful national Conservative Party campaign for the January 23, 2006 federal election, in which Stephen Harper was elected Prime Minister of Canada. Hon. Reynolds was appointed as a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada on February 6, 2006.
In the private sector Hon. Reynolds work included directorships on the boards of numerous public companies, including International Corona Resources, one of the largest gold discoveries in North America. Hon. Reynolds also hosted one of British Columbia’s leading radio talk shows. In March 2006, Hon. Reynolds was appointed as a Senior Strategic Advisor to McMillan LLP in Vancouver.
As a member of Zonzia’s Board of Advisors, Hon. Reynolds will help guide Zonzia as it begins the rollout of its OTT platform Zonzia.com. Zonzia.com will stream a diverse array of content including feature films, TV series and documentaries with a focus on independent and niche content.
Over the coming months Zonzia will continue to aggressively build its content library with the objective and focus of successfully connecting passionate and discerning audiences with the diverse content they demand and love.
