Senturus Speaking with IBM on Cognos Analytics at World of Watson 2016
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 06, 2016 -- Senturus will be joining IBM product managers at World of Watson on a panel discussion about “Upgrading to Cognos Analytics: What You Need to Know.” Representing Senturus is Todd Schuman, the company’s practice lead for Cognos installation, upgrades and optimization. The session is scheduled for October 27 at 8 a.m. Designed for IT professionals, the discussion will cover the installation, configuration and architectural considerations to take into account when upgrading to the new version of Cognos.
Mr. Schuman joins IBM product managers Greg McDonald and Jim Beacom, adding to the panel the benefit of his 15 years of Cognos expertise plus a customer-centric perspective. Schuman developed a strong collaborative relationship with the IBM team after the launch of CA11 earlier this year.
“As is the case with any new software release, there were some hiccups and not a lot of existing documentation,” says Schuman. “Our clients were asking lots of questions about the upgrade and installation that I couldn’t find answers to online. Getting put in direct touch with IBM has turned into a great, mutually beneficial working relationship that is improving the user experience.”
Because Senturus is an IBM Platinum partner, Schuman was able to get direct access to Greg McDonald, who manages IT-focused features and is responsible for general upgrades to the Cognos platform. A collaborative working relationship resulted, with the two sharing resources and knowledge as Schuman surfaced questions and issues from the field.
