LA Kings Celebrate 50th Anniversary with Collectible Figurine Series Presented by Mercury Insurance

Royalty reigns in Los Angeles as the LA Kings celebrate their 50th Anniversary and are set to contend for another Stanley Cup Championship. The team has, once again, partnered with Mercury Insurance to give loyal team supporters a treat for attending games at STAPLES Center. The LA Kings 50th Anniversary Collectible Figurine Series presented by Mercury Insurance, gives fans a piece of Kings memorabilia from the team’s Golden Jubilee celebration.

Fans will receive a limited-edition collectible figurine when attending one of the following LA Kings games:

  • November 19, 2016 (Rogie Vachon);
  • February 16, 2017 (Luc Robitaille); and
  • March 9, 2017 (Bailey).

Robitaille – a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, the highest scoring left wing in NHL history and the all-time Kings leader in goals scored – is in his 10th season as Kings President, Business Operations. He played 19 seasons in the NHL – including 14 with the Kings – and won a Stanley Cup in 2002. Vachon will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame this November and is one of the most popular players in franchise history. Bailey, of course, is the club’s lovable mascot.   

“Kings fans loved our bobblehead series from last year so much that we had to raise the stakes this season with limited-edition collectibles celebrating Kings greats from the past 50 years,” said Erik Thompson, Mercury’s advertising director. “We also wanted to recognize Mercury customers for their loyalty to us and the LA Kings, so we’re giving them an Anze Kopitar figurine to complete the series.”
