The weeklong event series celebrates the accomplishments of millennials and provides opportunities for the nation’s largest generation to come together, learn, network and inspire. Millennial Week DC will be held October 9 – 15, 2016, at locations throughout Washington, D.C.
Millennial Week DC attendees can expect one-on-one conversations, dynamic panel discussions and opportunities for real connections over the course of the event series. Event speakers will cover and provide coaching in the following areas: entrepreneurship, civic engagement & social impact, career & professional development as well as financial freedom.
Prudential-led events will foster insights as well as dialogue, and garner input from millennial consumers interested in financial planning services. Additionally, Prudential aims to engage and attract talent by participating in the Millennial Week DC Hiring Fair and hosting a professional development workshop that will include an interactive game.

The Millennial Town Hall Presented by Prudential, held 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm on Friday, October 14 from, will be an interactive session on financial challenges, entrepreneurship and reaching your goals, facilitated by millennial innovators. The following speakers will lead discussions around student loan debt, stock market investments, saving for retirement, long term savings plans and increasing housing expenses:
• Kwame Jackson, CEO & Founder of Kwame Inc., is a New York City based entrepreneur, former competitor and a final runner-up on NBC’s hit show “The Apprentice.”
• Tonya Rapley, CEO & Founder of My Fab Finance, is a nationally recognized millennial money expert and founder of My Fab Finance. She is also the creator of the #BanishTheBalance challenge, a debt elimination challenge that helped over 4,000 participants pay off more than $200,000 of debt in 60 days.
• Jason Vitug is CEO & Founder of Phroogal, a financial education startup developed from Vitug’s realization that the lack of access to relevant and reliable financial information contributes to indebtedness and financial incapability.
