Panama City Beach Florida Still Looking Forward to a Great Weekend as Matthew Is Expected to Miss Florida Panhandle
Panama City Beach, Fl (PRWEB) October 04, 2016 -- While most of Florida’s Atlantic Coast and other East Coast areas are preparing for the potential arrival of Hurricane Matthew, Panama City Beach - located in the Panhandle of Florida, is clear of the storm’s path with weather forecasts projecting sunny skies.
The Holiday Inn Resort, Panama City Beach is grateful that our vacationers will not be effected by this storm, but of course we’re still concerned for the areas of Florida and other states that are in the current projected path.
Despite the storm’s path only potentially effecting the east side of the state, Governor Scott has declared Florida to be in a state of emergency. Essentially what this means is that the Governor has more latitude to deal with a situation quickly and with maximum coordination – this includes closure of state offices, deployment of emergency responders, and make any necessary evacuation recommendations for the cities/counties in the path of danger.
The ten-day forecast for Panama City Beach shows nothing but sunny skies with a very low chance of precipitation and mild winds, holding at between 10-15 mph, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great beach vacation this Columbus Day Weekend. The resort’s live webcams are always rolling so you can see the current beach conditions live at any time if you’re ever unsure of the weather.
We’re still planning a fun weekend here at the Holiday Inn Resort, with lots of activities, entertainment, and water fun with our kid’s water playground, pools, and the beach! Also, Panama City Beach hosting the Pirates of the High Seas Fest this weekend, which is a really fun event – with so much to do at the resort and around town, and beautiful fall weather, we’re looking forward to a great fall weekend here on PCB.
There are still a few rooms available at the Holiday Inn Resort so there’s still time to sneak in a long weekend at the beach, call 800.633.0266 to reserve your room or for any questions you may have about the resort.
