Teacher Created Materials will donate 5% of October’s revenue from its Teachers website to help fund breast cancer research.

Teacher Created Materials, a leading preK–12 educational publisher located in Huntington Beach, California, will come together as a company to support breast cancer research by donating a percentage of the revenue from its Teachers website during the month of October.

For more than 16 years, Teacher Created Materials has participated in events that raise funds for breast cancer research. This year, they will donate to The Hoag Foundation in Newport Beach, California.

“We are excited to hold this fundraiser for the third year in a row. Our hope is that these donations will help The Hoag Foundation come closer to finding a cure because breast cancer impacts the lives of so many women, educators, and their families. Every year our company and employees take tremendous pride in standing up to breast cancer,” says Deanne Mendoza, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

Teacher Created Materials’ staff is also excited to get involved. Employees will come together to show support by wearing pink on October 12. The company will add a contribution to the overall monies raised from teacher web orders for each employee sporting pink. You can also participate in the event. Take a picture of yourself wearing pink on October 12, tag us on Twitter or Facebook, and use the hashtag #mytcm.

Teacher Created Materials will also be holding a “Pink Pong” tournament on October 12 to raise awareness among employees and to stand in solidarity against the disease. Teams from all departments across the company will compete in the ping pong tournament. The championship game is set to begin at 2:00 PST.
