In its latest move to continue building its incredible creative momentum, J. Walter Thompson Worldwide today announced the appointment of Maria Gianoutsos to Chief Creative Talent Officer.

Gianoutsos will oversee all senior creative recruitment for the company and its global offices, and will work with our creative talent to ensure ongoing career and professional development.

She comes to J. Walter Thompson with decades of experience in strategic talent placement, most recently at The Talent Business where she spent the last six years. Gianoutsos will partner with Chief Talent Officer Laura Agostini and Chief Creative Officer Matt Eastwood. Maria will join by the end of October and be based in the New York office.

Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, Gianoutsos started her career at Ogilvy & Mather in Sydney before quickly moving on to their New York office. With experience in planning and account management, Gianoutsos intuitively moved on to recruiting where she established herself as a strategic and solutions-based leader. After fifteen years as an executive recruiter at some of the top firms in New York, she joined The Talent Business in 2010 where she became a Managing Director, increasing revenue and profitability every year during her tenure.
