Tradiv’s Jonathan Teeters Named to Board of Directors of Minority Cannabis Business Association
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 07, 2016 -- Tradiv, the leading wholesale cannabis distribution website, is proud to announce that Jonathan Teeters, Director of Government Affairs, has been voted onto the Board of Directors of the Minority Cannabis Business Association (MCBA), the first non-profit organization created to serve the specific needs of minority cannabis entrepreneurs, workers, patients and consumers.
Teeters joins fellow board members in working towards economic empowerment, social justice and patient/consumer awareness for people of color in the cannabis industry. In his role at MCBA, Teeters will be responsible for fundraising and strategic partnership development, primarily in Southern California. Jonathan will serve his term from October 15, 2016 to October 14, 2017.
“From a diversity standpoint, the cannabis industry has a unique opportunity to do things differently than every other industry in America that has emerged and normalized,” said Teeters. “I can’t sit on the sidelines while the industry I’m helping to shape misses its opportunities to do things differently, which is why I’m so excited to become a board member at the MCBA.”
“We’re incredibly proud to see Jonathan leading the change for diversity within the cannabis industry,” said Todd Palmieri, CEO of Tradiv. “He has been absolutely crucial to our development and growth here at Tradiv, and we’re looking forward to supporting him as he applies his unique skill set to shaping our industry into a diverse and welcoming community.”
Prior to joining Tradiv, Teeters served as the Director of Operations for DOPE Magazine, the nation’s premier cannabis lifestyle publication. He also spent nearly a decade working in electoral politics for the Democratic National Committee, Organizing for America, and the Alaska Democratic Party.
