“Through this technology bridge, Nova can offer a large number of merchants this EMV-POS solution,” said Eric Kirk, director of business development with Creditcall.

Standard retailers have a credit card terminal separate from their point of sale (POS), which provides shoppers with two receipts and requires retailers to reconcile these receipts every month. Adding EMV chip reading technology offers liability protection, but the lack of integration of EMVs and POS compounds the problem. Nova Retail Technology Solutions has changed all of that by integrating processing partners, and combining EMV and POS into an all-in-one point of purchase platform.

To combine these processes, Nova has partnered with Creditcall, a gateway that’s available to credit card processors – such as First Data – and enables direct integration with independent sales organizations (ISOs), including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Elavon, and EVO Payments International to name a few. “Through this technology bridge, Nova can offer a large number of merchants this EMV-POS solution,” said Eric Kirk, director of business development with Creditcall. “Nova’s professional POS delivers a great value added service that very few, if any, other point of sale providers offer.”

Nova has also directly integrated with Heartland Payment Systems, a Global Payments company, to provide their merchants all of the same integrated POS-EMV benefits. “We love the advance chargeback protection to both our merchants and their shoppers,” said MaryJo Kubiak, territory manager at Heartland Payment Systems. “Our merchants say this has led to repeat business from shoppers who want the same liability protection as our merchants.”

For merchants, the integrated EMV and POS platform means faster checkouts and repeat customers. “Nova’s software makes my checkout process quick, and that helps with impulsive shoppers who I want to buy from me instead of Amazon,” said Nova merchant Ariel Goldberg. “It also gives me greater control over chargebacks and credit card revenue.”

Processing agents from banks can now offer all of their merchants EMV-POS integration through Nova – something their existing point of sale partners can’t provide. “We’re thrilled to continue to provide forefront technology solutions that no other company is offering as quickly and effectively to small and medium-sized merchants,” said Nova General Manager Carlos Galarce. “Retailers in both the specialty retail and in-line space have been clamoring for this integration, and we’re excited to be the company to offer the solution.”
