DiabetesSisters Welcomes New Board Members Deborah A. Greenwood and Michele Polz
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) October 07, 2016 -- DiabetesSisters is pleased to announce the election of two highly esteemed individuals, Deborah A. Greenwood and Michele Polz, to their Board of Directors, effective August 16, 2016. As Board Members, Mr. Stella and Ms. Rice will join existing board members in setting DiabetesSisters-related policies, fundraising, and representing the organization to the community.
Deborah A. Greenwood, Ph.D., RN, CNS, CDE, BC-ADM, FAADE, is a Research Scientist, in the Research, Development and Dissemination department and a Clinical Performance Improvement Consultant, on the Quality and Clinical Effectiveness team, in the Office of Patient Experience at Sutter Health, Sacramento, California. She also is the Program Director for the Sutter Health Integrated Diabetes Education Network (SHIDEN). Deborah has worked at Sutter Health for the past 10 years. She was the 2015 President of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and serves as the immediate past president in 2016. She recently received the2014 Award of Achievement from the National Council of Alpha Chi Omega. She is an active member of multiple diabetes associations as well as the American Telemedicine Association and the Health Information Management Systems Society.
Michele Polz is the founder & principal of M1 Consulting whose passion and goal is to collaborate with clients to design impactful data-driven customer acquisition and retention models leading to bottom line results. She is currently advising within Digital Health Technology, Biotech/ Pharma companies from early discovery through life-cycle management focusing on integrated care and value based models. Before consulting, Michele spent the last 8 years in Life Sciences, both at Sanofi and Biogen. In her roles at both organizations, she was responsible for the development and operationalizing modern consumer strategies that led to new approaches to connect to the patient and the care networks across the lifecycle; improving the overall customer experience. She is an advocate for putting the patient first.
