BIM Workshops Emphasizes Importance of Design Technology and Skills at its Successful 2016 Orange County Event
Newport Beach, California (PRWEB) October 11, 2016 -- The BIM Workshops is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its third Orange County event held in Anaheim, California on September 27th. Hosted by U.S. CAD—a full-service technology consultant for the architecture, engineering, construction, and infrastructure industries—the Workshops was attended by more 100 BIM professionals representing 60+ companies.
Over the course of the one-day event, attendees participated in 16 different breakout sessions focused on topics such as Revit best practices for architecture and MEP, 3D laser scanning, project lifecycle and collaboration, and virtual coordination.
Yoshi Honda, Director of Operations for U.S. CAD, kicked off the event by speaking about the importance of training and networking events, especially in light of changing and evolving design technology and trends. He also recognized the diversity of disciplines represented at the event, which included a mix of architectural, construction, mechanical, electrical, and management backgrounds.
“Once again, we are thankful for the support of the professional community, the attendees, and the speakers. The BIM Workshops continues to be a successful event because it connects attendees with the right resources and experts to help attendees develop the skills needed to excel now and into the future,” states Daniel J. Counts, CEO of U.S. CAD. “As design and building technology continues to improve and change, it becomes more critical for our community to share knowledge and information and collaborate successfully. We hope the user community continues to view the BIM Workshops as a venue for learning about industry challenges and how to work together to address them.”
Next up, the U.S. CAD will host the Honolulu BIM Workshops on October 20th and the Phoenix BIM Workshops on October 27th. Each of these events will continue the tradition of offering varied class sessions that reflect the unique needs of the BIM users in that region. About the BIM Workshops
The BIM Workshops events started with the Central States Revit Workshop in 2012. The continued success of the Central States Revit Workshop, along with the technical community’s positive feedback, prompted a multi-event expansion and a re-branding to the name BIM Workshops. Hosted by U.S. CAD, the Workshops were created originally to connect local users with national, regional, and local industry speakers and leaders. For many users, the Workshops continue to be the most cost-effective opportunity to get training in Autodesk software and to learn from and network with their industry leaders and peers.
