UHY LLP, the fifth largest accounting firm in southeast Michigan, will host their seventh annual Manufacturing Outlook on Thursday, October 20 from 7:30AM-11:50AM at the Detroit Athletic Club.

Topics include: legislative and legal updates, an economic outlook, the new R&D tax credit, what’s next for autonomous vehicles and suppliers, and valuation implications of emerging technologies. Featured presenter Chris Thomas, founder and partner of Fontinalis Partners, will speak on the impact of autonomy on the supply chain and beyond. Mr. Thomas is also the chairman of Read to a Child, a nonprofit working to combat low literacy rates across the nation, and will be presented with a check from UHY Cares on the organization’s behalf.

“The emergence of autonomous vehicle technology has brought us a critical turning point for automotive companies and manufacturers”, says Thomas V. Alongi, national manufacturing and global automotive practice partner. “It is important for manufacturing companies to start planning for this shift and to position themselves to be successful in tomorrow’s market.”
