Steven Davids
Steven Davids, 47, head asset manager, is promoted to Head of Global Equities of the Global Equity Division. He will manage the firm's global equity strategy, including taking lead on future IPOs and secure funds, as well as a new Emerging Markets Small Cap strategy. Davids will share manage all of the 100 portfolio managers, which will include 10 teams of equity managers.
Davids, a member of the Global Equity Markets team since joining the firm as an investment analyst in 2010, brings 20 years of experience to his role. Prior to joining Asia Century, he was a securities analyst at Deutsche Bank. He also worked as an investment manager for Asia-Pacific equities at HSBC Asset Management and as an investment banking financial analyst for Henderson Capital in Hong Kong. Davids holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the London School of Economics.
Jason Steinberg
Jason Steinberg, 43, senior investment analyst, is promoted to Senior Equity Trader and Team Manager on the U.S. Large Cap and Core strategy, which includes the Fundamental Technology Equity fund. Steinberg will share portfolio management responsibilities with co-portfolio managers Aski Trae, CFA, and Sophie Lau, CFA. He also continues to provide fundamental research and analysis for the U.S. Large Cap Growth (Growth/VP Growth) and Hong Kong Focused Large Cap Growth (Focused Growth) strategies.
Steinberg has been a member of the U.S. Large Cap Growth team since joining Asia Century Investments in 2007. Previously, he was an analyst for HSBC of London. Steinberg earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Birmingham University, UK and a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from London School of Economics.
Jason Goldman, CFA
Jason Goldman, 45, lead quantitative researcher for the ACI Group Large Cap, Legacy Multi Cap and Technology funds, is promoted to Global Equities Strategist and fund analyst on ACI Fund Management. Goldman will oversee portfolio managers and coordinate with current co-portfolio managers Sebastian Broberg and Daniel Chong.
A member of the team that initially created the quantitative models used to launch the Technology Funds and American IPO strategy in 2002, Goldman brings 18 years of industry experience and more than 23 years of technical experience to his role. He joined Asia Century Investments in 2002 as a knowledge engineer for AC Technology Tomorrow and later became a director of knowledge engineering in 2006 and lead quantitative researcher in 2009.
Goldman holds a bachelor's degree in Technical and Science engineering from Hong Kong University, and a bachelor's degree in Private Equity Management from Massachusetts Institute of Business.
