BlumShapiro Partners Again With Christian Community Action to Provide Thanksgiving Day Meals to Thousands of Seniors and Families in New Haven
West Hartford, CT (PRWEB) October 11, 2016 -- BlumShapiro today announced it will partner with Christian Community Action (CCA) for the fifth consecutive year to provide Thanksgiving Day meals to more than 2,000 families and seniors in New Haven.
The BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for Christian Community Action is a community wide, hands-on program that collects non-perishable food items for distribution to families and seniors right before Thanksgiving Day. Financial contributions in support of the food collection campaign are also accepted.
“For the fifth consecutive year, we are privileged to partner with Christian Community Action and others in the New Haven community to help bring a heathy and complete Thanksgiving Day meal to thousands of families and seniors,” said John A. Zinno, Jr., BlumShapiro Shelton Office Managing Partner. “Every year, the extraordinary effort by our employees and the community involved in BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign is a great example of a community that cares and a program that really makes a difference in the lives of others.”
“Since 2012, BlumShapiro has provided financial support and volunteers to help us collect food and funding that helps feed more than 2,000 families and seniors we serve at Thanksgiving time,” said Rev. Bonita Grubbs, Christian Community Action Executive Director. “We appreciate their commitment as well as that of our other community supporters, including businesses, individuals, schools, churches and civic groups, who all play a vital role in this annual food drive.”
The BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for CCA will collect non-perishable food items and monetary contributions between now and November 16. To help companies in their collection efforts, BlumShapiro will provide collection boxes for donated non-perishable food items.
Financial contributions to CCA will go towards the purchase of turkeys, additional non-perishable food items and other necessities for a healthy and happy Thanksgiving Day meal. Any amount is appreciated. To donate online, please visit http://www.ccahelping.org.
