It’s great to see these lists put together, but we find that readers often want to know more. Who jumped down the list? What’s the hot real estate market that’s moving quickly up the list?

Realtor Magazine recently put together its 20 hottest real estate spots, or “real estate IRA markets,” and American IRA is responding with commentary all its own.

In the blog post “Real Estate IRA Corner: Realtor Magazine Release Top 20 Hottest Real Estate Markets,” American IRA’s blog from September 18th, authored by CEO Jim Hitt, offered its own commentary on the list and noted some key absences that are sure to raise a few eyebrows.

Under its “Notably absent” list, American IRA noted that New York, Washington, D.C., and Florida did not make the list. This is in contrast to Vallejo, California, which was number one on the list, and Dallas, Texas, which came in at number two.

The Bay Area continued to do well in the list as well, thanks to both Vallejo and San Francisco, California making the top five. Other real estate market included Waco, Texas, the home of the reality television show “Fixer Upper.”

“We thought it was important to put out our take on this list,” mentioned Jim Hitt. “It’s great to see these lists put together, but we find that readers often want to know more. Who jumped down the list? What’s the hot real estate market that’s moving quickly up the list? And what are some of the most noteworthy real estate markets that didn’t make the list at all?”

The blog post on AmericanIRA.com pointed out that Santa Cruz fell “substantially,” while Dallas continued a hot streak with an influx of jobs thanks to a new Toyota USA corporate headquarters relocation. “These are the things you have to look at when evaluating these lists,” noted Jim Hitt, himself an avid follower of the real estate market and in real estate investing.
