The University of Virginia Selects The Squires Group, Inc. to Support Important Hiring Needs for the Ufirst Project
Annapolis, MD (PRWEB) October 09, 2016 -- The Squires Group, Inc. (TSGi) announced that it has been selected by the University of Virginia (UVA) to assist them in meeting their hiring needs for the critical Ufirst Project. In early 2015, a group of executive sponsors at UVA charged the University with transforming the way it provides human resource services. Ufirst will create a customer-centric HR function and is focused on making the employment experience at UVA an exceptional one. Ufirst will service UVA’s nearly 21,000 faculty, staff, and team members across its Academic Division, Health System, and the College at Wise. The HR transformation will continue for several years with full implementation expected in FY 2018.

Following a rigorous selection process, UVA selected Workday Human Capital Management to bring in the key functionalities of the Ufirst Project. Workday is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider that addresses the wide variety of HR needs in a single solution. “We look forward to leveraging our ERP experience to support our clients who are converting to the SaaS model,” says Nancy.
TSGi is working closely with Jeremy Duff, Talent Acquisition Lead at UVA, to meet their talent needs for the first phase of the project. Jeremy is responsible for developing a cohesive, customer-focused, effective Community of Expertise (CoE) that will identify and attract top talent with respect to the unique operations and cultures within the University system. Jeremy is also responsible for decreasing time to hire and leveraging shared resources to limit recruitment cost. “TSGi came to us highly recommended and has quickly proven to be a strategic partner to help get the Ufirst Project up and running,” says Jeremy Duff.
