Mindray/ZONARE, a developer of next generation ultrasound technology, announced it is introducing its highly demanded L20-5 transducer to the company’s Z.One PRO ultrasound system. Previously only available on the premium ZS3 mobile system, the high frequency linear array transducer provides unsurpassed resolution imaging for the ultimate clinical performance. The L20-5 and Z.One PRO system will be showcased at the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) annual congress being held October 16 – 18, 2016 in Las Vegas.

The L20-5 transducer is significantly used in a wide array of applications. These include small parts, pediatric, breast, vascular access, muscloskeletal, nerve blocks, thyroid biopsies, contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and foreign body detection. For example, in emergency point-of-care settings, ocular injuries, due to foreign body presence, are routinely seen. Locating the foreign object and diagnosing the injury is significantly aided by high frequency ultrasound imaging.
