CSIP awarded to Laurence I. Balter for Flight Training Excellence.

Laurence I. Balter of Kihei, Hawaii earns the Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot rating. Balter previously held the rating in 2004 as an independent demo pilot for Cirrus Aircraft. "I'm delighted to renew my CSIP rating just as we embark on investing in a new nationwide flight training safety program utilizing the Angle of Attack indicator. This will improve flight safety by 40%." Angle of Attack flying has increasingly become more accepted as the FAA has granted certification for General Aviation. Balter utilizes the Bendix King KLR10 for the Cirrus aircraft.

Maui Flight Academy operates the Cirrus SR22 aircraft and serves licensed pilots and non-pilots interested in learning to fly. Select flight packages are available on the company website for pilots interested in aircraft rental on Maui.

Balter, Chief Flight Instructor for Maui Flight Academy has over 8,000 flight hours, and 4,000 hours in the Cirrus SR22 also holds the Airline Transport Pilot rating.
