Psychologist Shares Personal and Professional Experience with Divorce in New Book
FOLSOM, Calif. (PRWEB) October 10, 2016 -- With five years of experience in providing psychological services under her belt, Dr. Iris Pachler has built a career navigating clients through separation and loss. After a struggle with her own divorce, the California resident combined her personal story with professional expertise to write the fiction book, “Sculpting Lillian.”
“Sculpting Lillian,” chronicles the life of psychotherapist Lillian, as she deals with the messy aftermath of her divorce. Lillian falls into a pattern of intense confusion and casual sex, only to be followed by more confusion as she fights through sadness and heartbreak. All the while, she continues to balance the needs of her clients working through their own separations.
“In my profession, I’ve seen clients experience intense guilt over a divorce and feel ashamed about their emotions,” Pachler said. “My goal with Sculpting Lillian is to provide hope and let others know that they can move through the stages of grief and emerge as transformed individuals with an improved life.”
Divorce is not always followed by an unhappy ending. Through Lillian’s story, Pachler offers understanding to the complicated journey of divorce and hope that the end of a marriage, can be the start of finding yourself.
