Wholesale pharmacy network MailMyPrescriptions.com announced today that it is optimizing its executive team in anticipation of the opening of its state-of-the-art pharmacy operation, and adding David Ballesteros as Chief Pharmacy Officer in charge of clinical experience and pharmacy operations to its executive team.

MailMyPrescriptions.com, a subscription-based mail-order pharmacy network that sells prescription medication at wholesale prices to members, announced today that it is optimizing its executive team in preparation for a period of intense growth and the opening of its high-tech pharmacy in Boca Raton, Florida.

MailMyPrescriptions.com is pleased to welcome David Ballesteros, chief pharmacy officer, to the executive team. Ballesteros, a retired Army officer and veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm, comes to MailMyPrescriptions.com with 15 years of experience at major pharmacy benefit managers.

As chief pharmacy officer, Ballesteros will be responsible for overseeing the clinical experience of all members of the service. He will also be the head pharmacist of MailMyPrescriptions.com’s propriety pharmacy, which is located in Boca Raton, Florida. That pharmacy is currently undergoing licensure, and plans to begin dispensing prescriptions by the end of the year under Mr. Ballesteros' direction.

Mike Schweiger will transition from his role as chief executive officer to chief financial officer. In this new capacity, he will head an upcoming Series A fundraising round for the company and manage the growth in MailMyPrescriptions.com Group Subscriptions.
