Journalists Invited to Attend SAE International Symposium on Technologies and Regulations for Vehicle Thermal Management Systems
WARRENDALE, Pa. (PRWEB) October 11, 2016 -- SAE International invites journalists to attend the SAE 2016 Thermal Management Systems Symposium, which will be held Oct. 18-20 at the Sheraton Mesa Hotel in Mesa, AZ, USA.
With the advent of new vehicle powertrains such as hybrid, electric and fuel cell, how to handle vehicle heating and cooling has become a paramount issue in the mobility industry. All thermal management systems, including mobile air conditioning systems, require constantly evolving concepts to provide passenger compartment heating and cooling as well as heating and cooling of batteries and cooling of vehicle powertrains and fuel systems.
The SAE 2016 Thermal Management System Symposium is expanding its programming content to include and focus on environmental regulatory requirements and the technologies involved to meet them. Leading experts from the United States, Europe, and Asia will speak about cutting-edge thermal management technologies and regulation compliance strategies.
Ercan M. Dede, Manager at the Toyota Research Institute of North America and F. Zafar Shaikh, Manager at Ford Motor Company will be the Keynote Speakers for the event.
Symposium Chair is John Rugh, Task Leader - Electric Drive Vehicle Climate Control Reduction Project, Task Leader - Vehicle Integrated Thermal Management Project, DOE, National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Symposium Vice Chair is Bashar AbdulNour, Electrified Powertrain Analysis Supervisor, Ford Motor Company.
