Animation Startup announces first channel, PoppycockTV

Feldspar Studios, a digital-first animation startup announced its partnership with Science Inc. to launch a portfolio of branded animation channels and properties for a mobile generation. The partnership will combine Science Inc’s strength in direct-to-consumer audience development with Feldspar’s expertise in rapid prototyping and content and brand creation to produce quality animation for social and mobile channels. Feldspar’s character and story driven properties will be launched, tested and built for a digital audience and monetized through sponsorships, content syndication and licensing.

The first channel to launch this month is PoppycockTV, which targets young adults with irreverent and offbeat humor. The channel will utilize a mixture of unique animation styles and formats to leverage the inherent characteristics of various social and mobile platforms.    

Teens and millennials have few native destinations for animated content outside of TV and spend over 70% of their time consuming media on mobile devices. By leveraging its rapid development and production engine, Feldspar aims to transform the traditional studio process. Additionally, now content can be distributed directly to digital and mobile channels like Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat where teens and young adults are spending their time.
