Local New Hampshire Winery Hosts Grape Stomping Event
Lincoln, NH (PRWEB) October 11, 2016 -- Seven Birches Winery in partnership with LaVista Italian Cuisine and RiverWalk Resort at Loon Mountain host their first annual Autumn Crush in the White Mountains to celebrate the end of the harvest season and the start of the winemaking season. The event will take place on October 15th at the brand new RiverWalk Resort at Loon Mountain, located in Lincoln-Woodstock, New Hampshire, BaseCamp of the White Mountains.
The Autumn Crush will kick off at noon with “big feet” grape stomping and continue until 4pm. Grape stompers of all ages and spectators are welcome at the “I Love Lucy” style stomp. Each stomper will receive a personal grape juice footprint shirt and a photo to document their stomp.
“Everyone always asks us if we crush our grapes like Lucy did in her famous skit on TV. The short answer is yes, we do – at the Autumn Crush in the White Mountains event. We’re thrilled to bring a harvest celebration and grape crush to New Hampshire and have plans to make it bigger and better with the years to come,” says winemaker and owner of Seven Birches Winery, Mark LaClair, “come crush it with us!”
Seven Birches Winery, located in RiverWalk, will be offering “Meet The Winemaker Tours” every hour on the hour from 12pm to 3pm. The tour includes a chat with the winemaker, an intimate tour of the winery production room, a barrel tasting of an aging red wine and a Seven Birches souvenir wine glass. The wine tour concludes with a group tasting flight on the RiverWalk veranda where participants can sample four more wines and “nibbles” made on property by Seven Birches and LaVista.
The evening concludes with an all you can eat harvest celebration feast by LaVista Italian Cuisine on the veranda overlooking the mountains and the sunset. The feast is all inclusive with local wine, music, family, friends and food. The feast will include pastas, meats, breads, salads and Seven Birches wine.
“Our chef has quite the menu planned for the harvest feast from homemade pasta and meat dishes to salads, breads and wine," Herman Pfeuti, owner of LaVista Italian Cuisine says. “Make sure to work up a good appetite stomping grapes, the event is all you can eat and is a reason to celebrate in itself.”
