Kenosha, Wisconsin (PRWEB) October 13, 2016
Since moving to Wisconsin in December of 2014, Kenall Manufacturing has rooted itself and begun to flourish: responding quickly to the rapidly-changing lighting industry has helped spur growth and earn the company a first-ever spot on the Milwaukee BizTimes Future 50 Awards list.
“We completed our new 354,000-square-foot facility less than two years ago and now focus almost entirely on LED lighting and controls, as well as exploring advanced technologies,” said Kenall CEO and Chairman, Jim Hawkins.
Building on that growth will help Kenall continue to be a source of both American-made goods and local jobs far into the future: “We have a multi-faceted approach to hiring, training and retaining employees and we continue to pursue new markets and apply new technological innovations to our current product line. We are positioned very well for long-term success,” Hawkins continued.
Perhaps the most important factor for maintaining growth is investing in the research and development of advanced technologies. Alongside a large portfolio of LED luminaires designed for challenging environments, Kenall continues to invest in lighting controls as well as Indigo-Clean®, a continuous disinfection technology that works by utilizing the 405nm wavelength of the visible light spectrum to bolster current infection prevention methods in health care settings. “Visible light disinfection has the potential to completely change the way the health care industry battles hospital-acquired infections by providing continuous, safe disinfection of the air and hard/soft surfaces,” said Hawkins, who is looking forward to seeing Indigo-Clean technology in action when the Henderson Hospital in Henderson, Nevada opens next month.
Hawkins concluded: “Being part of the BizTimes Future 50 has real meaning for us because it shows that we are a significant contributor to the southeast Wisconsin economy and business community, not just today or tomorrow, but for a long time to come.”
