AffordableCollegesOnline.org Names Best Online Colleges in New York
Reno, Nev. (PRWEB) October 12, 2016 -- A new list from leading higher education resource provider AffordableCollegesOnline.org has ranked the Best Online Colleges in New York state. Schools at the top of the list include Mercy College, CUNY Graduate School and University Center, SUNY College at Oswego, Metropolitan College of New York and SUNY College of Technology at Canton among four-year institutions; Genesee Community College, Niagara County College and Jefferson Community College among two-year institutions. In all, more than 30 colleges are being recognized for offering affordable, flexible online education options in the state.

To make the Best Online Colleges in New York list, a school must meet specific qualification requirements. Only colleges and universities that are accredited are considered, and each must hold public or private not-for-profit standing. Cost and affordability minimums are also set; in-state tuition must fall under $5,000 annually for two-year institutions and under $25,000 annually for four-year institutions to qualify. Other ranking factors include financial aid and breadth of online program options.
