Revitalization will infuse hospitality complex with new life and unique guest experiences!

The New Exterior Elevation of the Hotel RL Omaha

Leslie Hospitality of Omaha, Nebraska is leading an approximately $40 million joint venture to renovate and bring new life to the Ramada Plaza. The revitalization of the complex will result in a new 136-room Hotel RL by Red Lion Hotel Corporation (RLHC, NYSE:RLH) , a completely renovated 60,000+ sq. ft. conference center, a 230 room Conference Center Tower Hotel by Red Lion Hotels, and a fresh and exciting high-end indoor waterpark.

Hotel RL is the signature brand of RLHC and is known for offering guests experiences inspired by the Pacific Northwest, including complimentary gourmet coffees by Seattle-based Victrola Coffee Roasters, an on-property entertainment program called The Living Stage which showcases local creatives, thinkers and performers, and the exclusive Cascadia personal care collection in all rooms.

Hotel & Conference Center
The newly renovated Hotel & Conference Center will have two new restaurants, a new bar, an intimate wine bar, new executive board rooms, a state-of-the-art meeting technology center and a redesigned hotel lobby. With its entrance on the Grover Street side of the complex, the hotel will encompass 240 rooms and suites. All of the guest rooms will have new décor, furnishings and bedding.

The existing Omaha Convention Center, legendary home to many of Omaha’s signature events for the past 30 years, will undergo a complete redesign and renovation of its entire 60,000+ sq. ft. facility. The new convention and conference center will provide central Omaha with a top of the line conference and event facility designed to easily handle up to 2,000 guests for premier social events, weddings, trade shows and conventions.

Hotel RL Omaha
The new Hotel RL Omaha will welcome travelers to a new kind of hotel experience, one infused with curiosity and a sense of wonder. The Hotel RL Omaha will enjoy a boutique hotel look and feel with premium amenities and furnishings. The Hotel RL Omaha will feature live performances on The Living Stage and the walls will be lined with curated local art. The new Hotel RL Omaha, with its entrance on the 72nd Street side of the property, will encompass 136 rooms and suites. The hotel will have a complete lobby renovation, boast a full-service spa and be home to a nationally recognized restaurant that shares the same boutique nature of the Hotel RL brand. All of the guest rooms will have new décor, furnishings and bedding.

DoubleTree Hotel Partnership
Leslie Hospitality, through a joint venture and partnership agreement, has acquired controlling interest in the adjacent new DoubleTree Hotel which opened in April, 2016 on 72nd Street. This partnership will add unprecedented synergy to the marketing and hospitality experience of the waterpark, conference center and hotel complex guest. “With the addition of the DoubleTree Hotel to the Conference Center Hotel and Hotel RL portfolio, we will have over 575 upscale full-service hotel rooms in a one-block area of 72nd Street. These three upscale hotels will be able to seamlessly and cooperatively book event space in the combined 65,000+ square feet of meeting and conference space, and their guests will be able to enjoy the largest indoor waterpark in the Midwest region.

The entire hospitality complex will boast four restaurants, three bars and a spa. “The renovation of these hotels, the waterpark and the Conference Center, combined with the DoubleTree Partnership is the perfect business mix for us, and the perfect hospitality solution for Omaha,” stated Edwin W. Key Personnel Additions
